Views discussed will range from those in ancient Greece to philosophers living today. Among the issues in applied ethics we will discuss will be abortion, capital punishment, homosexuality, war and terrorism, the treatment of animals, and the environment. This course may not make you a better person, but it should help you think more clearly about important moral issues.
