Course Objectives
As a result of full participation in this class, a student will understand:
- A variety of the important issues and controversies that classical and
contemporary ethical theorists have discussed extensively.
- The perspectives of important philosophers in ethical theory.
Furthermore, he or she will be able to:
- Read and analyze introductory philosophical texts and uncover the arguments and
perspectives they employ.
- Think through ethical issues that arise in his or her own life.
- Think and write with increased clarity and rigor.
