Richard Lee and Bass Guitar

I play bass guitar for fun. (Thanks to my wife for the surprise birthday present several years ago.)

I hadn't been playing bass much recently, but did play at an "Open Mic" at the Omni Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas, on December 2nd, 2007. Don Steinkraus, Jane Stitt, and I played:

I played bass in the pit orchestra for Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, a Sondheim musical. University Theater at the University of Arkansas. Performances April 16, 17, 21, 22, 23, 24, 2004 at 8:00 p.m., April 18, 25, 2004 at 2:00 p.m.

I played bass for the concert of the Arts Center of The Ozarks Chorale on Friday, October 19, 2002 at the Arts Center of the Ozarks. I played on:

I played bass for "An Evening of International Cabaret and Music Theater," Friday October 4, 2002, 8 p.m. in the Stella Boyle Concert Hall of the University of Arkansas. I played on:

I played in the mass bands (5 p.m. and 8 p.m.) at St. Thomas Aquinas parish, starting in 2001 until 2005 or so.

I played in the pit band for Lucky Stiff put on through the University of Arkansas drama department Performances were July 26, 27, 31 & August 1 - 3, 2002 at 8 p.m, and July 28 & August 4, 2002 at 2 p.m.

I played in the CYM band at St. Joseph Church from 1999 through 2002.

I played in the folk (bluegrass) choir band at St. Joseph Church from about 1999 through 2001.


Bass guitar is not my only or main musical outlet. My main musical outlet is the Gregorian Schola, a Gregorian chant choir which I direct. I am also in the Ozark Chamber Singers.
