Short Papers:

Each Tuesday (by 5 p.m.) a short paper will be due. The topic will be assigned the previous Wednesday in class. (I will also post the assignment on the course webpage at http://www.uark.edu/campus-resources/rlee/semisp10/assign.html) for those who miss class or wish to refresh their memories.) They should be submitted electronically to rlee@uark.edu in rtf ("rich text format"). The best seven grades for each student will be counted. Because of the purpose of these papers and the fact that more will be assigned than will be counted, late papers will not be accepted.

These assignments will help to keep us up with the reading and focused on the topic. Having the papers submitted on the day before class is intended to allow the instructor to glance at them and have a sense of what the members of the class are thinking as we head into the week's session.
