The student will be exposed to the theory and techniques of modern formal
and informal logic. Topics covered will include: basic
concepts of logic, informal fallacies, forming and
evaluating formal arguments in sentential logic and modern
predicate logic. Students will use a computer program
that can coach them through problem sets until they master
the material.

- Additional necessities:
- LogicCoach III software
- In addition to the textbook each student should purchase
three 3.5" computer disks.
