normative sense (P 447a) vs. descriptive sense
authoritative command vs. persuasive argument (P 447a)

de jure state vs. de facto state (P 447b)
Autonomy = subjecting one's will to laws that one has given oneself; not subjecting one's will to laws not given oneself. (Cf. P 448b) vs. heteronomy
