Three Requirements on a Theory of Truth (Bertrand Russell) (P 191b, 192b)

The theory of truth must:

  1. allow that some things are false.
  2. make truth a property of beliefs. (P
  3. make the truth of a belief dependent upon something "outside" the belief.
