Berkeleyan Idealism
According to Berkeley only two kinds of things exist:
- spirits (minds), and
- ideas
Berkeley does not deny that there are stones and trees and stars.
They exist, but they
are not material substances, as dualists believe. Stones, trees, and
stars (and much more) are collections of ideas.
